This essential groundwork—grading, drainage, paving, and site preparation—ensures that every pathway, driveway, and outdoor space supports the expansion of our programs. Without this critical infrastructure, we cannot grow to serve more women in need or provide the peaceful, stable setting necessary for their recovery journey. The progress on these grounds is more than construction; it’s the groundwork for new beginnings.

Expanding Charis Eating Disorder Care is vital because it meets an urgent and growing need for hope and healing. Every day, we receive calls from family members, individuals, and friends desperately seeking treatment—not just any treatment, but a place where true healing happens and lives are restored. Because the journey through eating disorders is deeply personal and often tied to trauma, Charis offers more than medical care; we provide a compassionate, faith-centered environment where recovery is possible and lasting transformation begins. Without expanding our capacity, many will continue to wait without access to the care they so desperately need.
The civil work underway—including stormwater systems, traffic analysis, and site development—is not just about expansion; it's about ensuring we meet and exceed the high standards set by Nassau County. With one of the most rigorous compliance requirements in the state, we are committed to doing things the right way, not the easy way.
